As one of its original founders, he has been fortunate to watch many athletes grow from outstanding kids to amazing adults. When not hanging out at the Joseph Lalli Miracle Field, Andy enjoys running road races with his son, Henry, playing soccer &amp; hiking with his daughter, Emily, and playing for the Crows Nest in the Acton Adult Softball League. Most importantly, Andy has been the proud husband of Lauren for over 16 years.<\/p>\n<p><em>Fun Fact: Andy has consumed thousands of peanut butter &amp; jelly sandwiches over the years.<\/em><\/p>\n\t<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/miracleleaguema.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Laurie_100x100.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/>Laurie Avakian, President<\/h4>\n<p>Laurie Avakian lives in Concord with her husband David and two boys. A big supporter of the Miracle League, Laurie has watched the league grow from 4 teams to 10 teams in the past ten years. In her spare time, Laurie enjoys being outdoors: walking, biking and camping.<\/p>\n<p><em>Fun fact: Laurie&#8217;s an avid canoe adventurer. Some of her extended camping trips have taken her along the Green River in Southern Utah, the Penobscot River in Maine, and the Saco in New Hampshire. She recently white water rafted down the Kicking Horse River in Yoho National Park, Canada. Finding that much easier, she&#8217;s hooked and excited for more white water adventures.<\/em><\/p>\n\t<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/miracleleaguema.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/87af0e3c-796a-4e5b-910e-ad36822d1d4d-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/>Kirsten Farias<\/h4>\n<p>Kirsten is a high school English teacher at Monty Tech. She and her husband Sam have a blended family of five kids. Kirsten is new to the Miracle family and is looking forward to working with our community, families and athletes. Growing up in a baseball household, Kirsten has seen first hand how the love for the game results in life long relationships that extend well beyond the diamond.<\/p>\n<p><em>Fun fact: Kirsten enjoys painting and writing poetry and is currently working towards publishing her first book.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\t<h4><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/miracleleaguema.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/R.-Levine-300x281.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" \/>Rebecca Levine<\/h4>\n<p>Rebecca Levine has been involved with Miracle League since 2012. She heard about the league from a few families who participated and wanted to be part of the magic. Miracle League is her &#8220;happy place.&#8221; Rebecca has worn many different hats on game days and has loved every minute of it! She likes to listen to audiobooks (more often than reading) and she is always up for checking out new gluten-free bakeries and restaurants!<\/p>\n<p><em>Fun fact: Rebecca sang in high school and traveled to Armenia with her group to sing with their local choirs.<\/em><\/p>\n\t<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/miracleleaguema.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Anne_100x100.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/>Anne Mullaney<\/h4>\n<p>Anne Mullaney lives in Concord. She and her husband Matt have two daughters. Having spent many years watching her girls play softball, she recognizes the thrill of every pitch thrown and every bat swung, regardless of the results. Anne is a creative marketer at heart (and a marketing professional) and enjoys coming up with new ideas to keep Miracle League athletes and volunteers excited.<\/p>\n<p><em>Fun fact: Anne has competed at the USTA national tournament four times.<\/em><\/p>\n\t<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/miracleleaguema.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Prow_100x100.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/>Prow Sarns<\/h4>\n<p>Prow has been involved with Miracle League since 2008. Her son, Justin, who has Congenital Muscular Dystrophy, played Miracle League ball for many years. Prow checks out bulletin boards and surfs the internet for opportunities to try something new. She loves how events bring people together to explore and learn from each other. You&#8217;ll find Prow, her husband and two other kids at many of the area community events, from festivals to bike rides, either behind the scenes volunteering or simply enjoying the people and participating in the event.<\/p>\n<p><em>Fun Fact: Prow and her three kids traversed the USA, from Boston to the beaches of Los Angeles and back through Canada, in a four-week, 7000-mile round trip adventure in a Convertible MINI Cooper.<\/em><\/p>\n\t<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/miracleleaguema.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Mark_100x100.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/>Mark Scheier<\/h4>\n<p>Mark lives in Acton and has practiced law in Acton since 1973. He and his wife, Rebecca, have two children and two grandchildren. Mark is chair of the Board of Directors of AccesportAmerica, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping disabled children and adults achieve high function and fitness.<\/p>\n<p><em>Fun Fact: Mark was the Acton TV commentator for Acton Boxborough football for more than ten years.<\/em><\/p>\n\t<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/miracleleaguema.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Joe_100x100.png\" alt=\"Joe Vesey\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Joe Vesey<\/h4>\n<p>Joe is a Project manager at Medicus Healthcare Solutions. He showed up at Miracle League one Saturday morning and never left. Better known to the Miracle Leaguers as Coach Joe, he started out as a buddy and was recruited as a coach. If you watch a game, you&#8217;ll be taken by the strong relationship Joe has with his players and their families.
